Hi friends!  Another little piece of information about me if you didn’t know, is that I am an artist and owned my own photography business for 10 years.  I feel so passionate about seeing the beauty around us and capturing special memories, and what better place to do that than Disney?!!!
The most magical place on earth has so many spots to stop and take a perfect family photo to remember your trip, just look for a Disney photographer ;)  There are the shots you see all over social media that are iconic Disney that you want for your memories like the Cinderella’s Castle and the ball at Epcot.  I’ll mention those, tips to get the best shots there and some fun, out of box locations that are unique and good for cute kid shots, blog or social media shots, or just for something different!

So, let’s start with the shot of all shots, Cinderella’s Castle behind you on Main Street USA.  EVERYONE pretty much has to have this photo and usually you have a TON of people in the background!  Yes, get this shot, you’ll love it!!!  But, some tips for getting the best castle shot are, if you can, make an early breakfast reservation in Magic Kingdom before the park opens.  That way, you get in the park BEFORE the crowds and have the chance for the shot of a lifetime with no people in the background.  If you can’t do that, go to one of the side locations around the castle instead of on Main Street,  you can take a photo as the park is closing, or in the rain (less people out in the rain)…fun right?
And another big one, the Epcot ball!  This one it’s best to shoot UP with a run angle to try to get less background people and park closing time is always a good option.

Ok , so now for some fun locations you may know about and some you may not!  In Magic Kingdom there is no shortage of cute photo ready spots! So, I’m going to mention some top spots this time, but I will for sure write follow up blogs with more ideas!  There are just too many for one post.

In Magic Kingdom, if you have the chance to eat in Be Our Guest, there are some super fun spots to take photos.  My favorite is the stained glass wall inside the door.  If they have front of the castle with the gargoyle is fun and inside with the rose that’s losing it’s petal or any magical dining room works, it’s just not the best lighting (photographer In me has to talk about the light ha ha).

Some other locations worth taking the time to stop and shoot are Peter Pan’s Flight around the corner from the entrance is a fun wall painted with Never Land and while you’re over that way, the Rapunzel bathroom has a fun painted wall with purple plants, but the super fun shot here is the Photopass opportunity.  You can have your photos taken with floating lanterns.  This one I haven’t done yet, but it’s on my list and I’ve seen some amazing shots!

One of the most fun things to find around Disney to take photos in front of are colorful walls.  Some in MK are in front of Carousel of Progress and the iconic Purple Wall at the entrance of Tomorrowland.  This wall, has it’s own IG page!
In Epcot, I had a blast finding some fun locations that would be awesome for kids and fun social media shots.  There is the most popular wall, The Bubblegum Wall on Spaceship Earth!  You will see a ton of photos stopping to take pics here, the funny thing is is that you have to be fast!  It’s the ride exit and people are always photo bombing :)
Over at Mission: Space I was excited to find quite a few locations!  The entrance has some colorful planets and there is another pink and purple wall!  And I have to mention World Showcase.  I mean each country provides an opportunity to explore another world and find photo treasures.  A couple of my favorite fun shots are the courtyard in France and the photo booth in the UK.
For today, those are all I will give you.  I have so many more, but I’ll put them in another post and list a few more locations so you can make a list next time you go!  Maybe write them down and keep them in your phone and turn it into a game when you go back to Disney World.  It can be like a treasure hunt to find the photo location and discover the best, new place!

My tips are to keep your eyes open and full of wonder.  Notice the colors and textures around you.  If you see something you love, take the picture!  And pick up some props like a Mickey bar, balloons, ears and make the photos even more original and fun!  I hope your eyes see the wonder and your photos reflect your most magic memories!  If you have an questions or suggestions please let me know!

More photo location suggestions:

- Animal Kingdom: Pandora (anywhere), with Everest in the background, the Tree of Life.
- Hollywood Studios: Tower of Terror in the Background.
- Magic Kingdom: Try on the People Mover, Teacups, and Carousel.
- Epcot: Explore the World Showcase.

As always - we can help plan your next Disney vacation.
